I can’t believe half of summer has come and gone! Who else is obsessed with the sun shining until 8pm?! My favorite part of the day is the after-dinner stroll with my little family. My son, Rowan, turned two a few weeks ago and it’s been so entertaining watching him grow and change – he has us cracking up on a daily basis!
To maximize my time with Rowan, I’m always on the hunt for recipes that allow me to enjoy these long summer nights as much as possible. My criteria is simple:
- Can be made in 30 minutes from start to finish; and/or
- Requires no more than 10 minutes to prep; AND
- Must be delicious enough for my picky toddler to want to eat it :)
My friends, these Super Crispy Baked Wings check all those boxes and then some. I’m a big fan of almost any kind of wing, but when it’s as easy as this recipe AND results in some of the crispiest wings I’ve ever had it’s a no-brainer!! Don’t believe me? Aside from the chicken itself, I bet you have all the ingredients on hand already….see for yourself :)
Ingredients
How to make it
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine all the dry ingredients (flour, brown sugar, paprika, garlic salt, black pepper, onion powder) in a gallon zipper plastic bag, mix together well. Add wings to the bag and turn to coat the wings evenly.
Remove the wings a few at a time and put on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil (pay attention, friends – nonstick is critical!). Drizzle the melted butter over the wings and turn them to coat them as evenly as possible. Make sure the wings have some space between them so they’re not touching.
Bake for 25 minutes, turn the wings over, then bake another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately with ranch, blue cheese, and veggies for dipping!
