Asian Salmon

Today’s post is a weeknight dinner champ at our house: Asian Salmon! It’s a total lifesaver for those nights that I JUST. CAN’T. EVEN. You know what I’m talking about….long day, you’re tired and hungry, and all you want to do is get some take-out. Don’t do it! If you’re prepared with the ingredients (aside from the salmon, everything is a versatile pantry staple I always have on hand), making this is not only delicious and healthy, but you can get it on the table faster than the time it takes to order food and pick it up. Now that I’ve sold you ;) Shall we?

How to make it

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Then cover a baking sheet with foil; place the salmon fillet (skin side down) on the foil. 

Add the following to a small bowl: Dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Whisk together well until combined. 

Pour the mixture evenly on top of the salmon.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Note: cooking time will vary based on how thick your fillet is. 

Garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds, and serve immediately. I love to pair it with plain quinoa and broccoli – so good!

Ingredients
  1. 1 pound salmon fillet
  2. 1 ½ Tablespoon Dijon mustard

Notes
  1. Tip #1: Cook time will vary based on how thick your fillet is.
  2. Tip #2: The salmon pairs beautifully with quinoa or jasmine rice and broccoli or asparagus.

  1. This was especially good since we have Alaskan Salmon from my wonderful neighbor who goes every year and returns with about 100 lbs.! Always looking for good and different recipes and this one hits the mark ~ delicious. …and easy!
